Goodbody Stockbrokers

Goodbody is Irelands longest established Stockbroking firm with roots dating back to 1874. They appointed Henry J Lyons Architects to refurbish their existing offices, to create a more interactive open plan floor plate and a collaborative culture in the workplace while also allowing space for expansion without alienating many of the staff members who had been there for more than 25 years.

The concept was to encourage collaboration and movement across all floors and between departments and levels, ensuring familiarity and comfort no matter where the work is taking place. When rolling out a fitout on a phased programme it is key is to keep the Client and Staff engaged, interested and excited about what is coming next.

The project consisted of the extensive refurbishment of an occupied existing building over 5 Levels. Works included altering the existing internal layout, opening up the trading floor, creating a new central staff canteen, library areas, meeting rooms and smaller fuel zones on various Levels, new carpet, decorations and finishes, new furniture throughout including bespoke joinery, trading area desks and workstations.
