The Courtyards Adamstown

Based on contemporary European town centres rather than enclosed malls, Adamstown District Centre has social and environmental sustainability at its core. Working alongside many of Irelands pre-eminent Architectural practices; Henry J Lyons Architects were engaged to design a portion of the new District Centre at Adamstown. Situated at the Northwest corner of the district centre lands, the scheme has prominent frontage to the public square to be known as West Place.

A seven screen cinema is camouflaged by the residential and commercial activities at street level and above by the introduction of gated residential entry courtyards at street level. These courtyards form the transitional spaces between public and private worlds.
